In a harrowing incident from Indiana, a 30-year-old woman, Jenna Strouble, stands accused of luring her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Jake Lambert, to a late-night "surprise" in Illinois, where she allegedly executed him inside her vehicle. Prosecutors assert that Strouble, armed with a loaded Glock, intended to kill Lambert and his parents, Stacy Forde, 54, and Patrick Forde, 55.

Court documents reveal Strouble’s chilling confession to investigators, in which she expressed initial doubts about her resolve to carry out the gruesome plan. Following the alleged triple murder on March 23, Strouble returned to her home in Indiana, where she was arrested with their two young children aged 3 and 4.

According to prosecutors, the events unfolded when Strouble picked up Lambert late at night. She told him she had a surprise and wanted to give him a back massage. As Lambert reclined his seat and removed his shirt, Strouble reportedly massaged his back for roughly 20 minutes before retrieving a Glock handgun hidden beneath the seat after he made a remark about her technique.

Strouble then aimed the weapon at the back of Lambert's head for nearly eight minutes, during which she contemplated abandoning her plan. Ultimately, however, she pulled the trigger, fatally shooting him.

Afterwards, she allegedly went to the Forde home, where she struggled to gain entry until Patrick Forde opened the door. Strouble immediately began shooting, advancing into the home and killing Stacy Forde as she came downstairs in response to the gunfire.

The prosecutors’ motion highlights that Strouble had also considered harming her own parents but doubted her ability to follow through. They noted her history of suicidal and homicidal thoughts, including a previous incident where she contemplated jumping from a window while holding her children.

Authorities disclosed that Strouble had purchased the Glock in December expressly for this plan and had also obtained a suppressor online. A search of her bedroom unveiled additional suppressors and ammunition.

The motive behind these horrific acts remains unclear, with Strouble offering minimal reasoning apart from expressing discontent over Lambert’s treatment of their children and viewing his parents as overly controlling. Described as having a tumultuous relationship, Lambert and Strouble had a history marked by difficulties.

Strouble has since been extradited to Illinois to face three counts of first-degree murder and is being held at the Will County Jail. A pretrial detention hearing is scheduled for Monday morning.
